An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist am Zentrum für Krebsforschung mit der Kennzahl: 142/25, voraussichtlich ab 2. April 2025 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 40 Wochenstunden mit einem:einer Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter:in/Research Staff – Postdoc (w/m/d) zu besetzen.Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 4.932,– brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.Als eines der führenden universitären Zentren in Europa bieten wir spezielle Nachwuchsförderung in wissenschaftlicher Forschung und Lehre an.Das Arbeitsverhältnis endet nach Ablauf von 5 Jahren.Our group is interested in anticancer therapy resistance, especially focusing on breast cancer. We employ a large number of approaches including biochemical and cell biological assays, genetic screens, single-cell sequencing, clinical research and mouse genetics. The projects will use genetically engineered, organoid-based models of breast cancer to identify determinants of sensitivity and resistance to conventional and immune therapies. Projects will aim to elucidate 1) the contribution of genetic, phenotypic and clonal evolution to chemotherapy resistance; 2) the identification of targetable regulators of dormancy/survival or awakening of drug-tolerant persister (DTP) cells and 3) the role of tumor microenvironment in response to chemotherapy.Aufgaben und Tätigkeiten:

Experience in tumor immunology, cancer biology, mouse models, organoid cultures, genetic engineering, and especially bioinformatics analysis of omics data is highly preferred.
