As a VMU Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all aspects of workshop operations as the VMU Manager.
• Managing a small team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring efficiency and quality in all repairs.
• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of HGVs and municipal vehicles to meet high standards.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Implementing and maintaining an effective fleet maintenance schedule.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure fleet availability meets operational demands.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of repairs, inspections, and stock levels.

To be well-suited to this role as an VMU Manager, you should have:

• Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance, repair processes, and diagnostics.
• Ability and enthusiasm to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
