We know our people are the key to our success, and we’re looking for a VMU Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver excellence in our vehicle maintenance operations.The Role:As a VMU Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit. Working as part of a close-knit team, your focus will be on meeting operational targets while maintaining vehicle safety and reliability to support our logistics and transport operations.About You:We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven professional with strong communication and organizational skills, who thrives in a team-oriented environment.Essential Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Health and Food Safety principles.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and perform under pressure.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Crafts.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a Safety First culture, ensuring adherence to Allied Bakeries’ policies and procedures.
- Coordinate shift activities to achieve KPIs and uphold safety and quality standards.
- Prioritise and organise workloads, maximising resource efficiency and highlighting any non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with Transport and Logistics teams to ensure vehicle availability and minimise downtime.
- Liaise with subcontractors to maintain high standards and cost efficiency.
- Ensure all vehicles meet company and DVSA compliance standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between shifts and VMU leadership.
- Actively participate in learning and development initiatives, including sharing best practices.
