Purpose of the job:
(1) Contribute and drive global, regional and local Human Resource (HR) initiatives as well as processes for the Businesses. HR initiatives include but not limited to attraction, selection, engagement and development of talents, in alignment with MUFG direction/strategy.
(2) Responsible for providing sound HR advice to the Businesses to support decision making on complex HR matters, strategies and initiatives which includes recruitment, termination of employment (i.e. cessation/ off-boarding), organizational change, performance management and rewards, staff engagement, talent management and succession planning
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Support the development of HR strategy for the Businesses to drive business objectives
Customer
-
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.

Work in partnership with HR colleagues to support the implementation of global and regional HR projects/initiatives.
-
Work in partnership with the Businesses to support the adoption and implementation of global and regional HR policies and processes to drive market relevant, cost effective and compliant practices.

Work in partnership with various HR service vendors to seek HR advice and services.
-
Work in partnership with hiring managers to manage the recruitment for senior/critical roles, including talent sourcing (such as mobility) leading to the right approach to meet business requirements.

Collaborate with all Centres of Excellence (COEs) to deliver HR initiatives and processes.
People
-
Responsible for managing (objective setting & performance management) and developing (coaching, career progression & learning interventions) junior staff or direct reports.

Act as an Ambassador for all company policies / guidelines.

Support, coach and guide direct reports on complex HR issues.
Other/ Control
-
Drive and deliver key HR processes including but not limited to salary benchmarking, compensation review, performance management, talent mapping, succession planning, talent management and engagement survey.

Manage the implementation of complex organizational change initiatives including but not limited to restructures, HR system upgrades and MUFG cultural initiatives.

Provide guidance to the Businesses on complex employee related matters, in the areas of performance, conduct, grievance and disciplinary.

Lead and/or support the delivery of various HR initiatives for the Businesses to be implemented on time and on budget.

Review and approve salary proposals prepared by RPO for D and below hires. Prepare complex market relevant salary proposals for senior hires.

Participate in relevant committees within the Businesses or the Branch.

Support the managing of the HR risk profile for the Businesses by providing sound policy advice to support decision making.

Provide complex HR policy interpretation and guidance on relevant HR policies.

Manage the development and updating of policies to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.

Partner with Mobility COE on international assignments of identified internal assignees/talents, and provide relevant advice to businesses.

Review reports on operational performance and recommendations for supporting the Businesses.

Maintain strong working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

Conduct exit interviews (for D/VP)

Act as a subject matter expert to Businesses on HR related topics, in partnership with COEs.

Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
Job Requirements:

Degree qualified
-
Minimum 7 years of experience as Human Resource Business Partner in Banking and Finance Industry

Regional Human Resource Business Partner experience is a plus
-
Experience in handling HR disciplines such as Talent Acquisition, Employment Relations, HR Generalist, Performance Management, Rewards, Talent Management, Mobility and Talent Development & Learning.

Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
-
Strong communication skills with ability to influence others and offer HR solutions.
-
Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills to manage direct reports.
-
Strong knowledge of HR processes, practices and local employment laws.
