Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is a minimum of € 6.604,30 (14 times/year). • completed domestic or equivalent foreign tertiary education corresponding to the intended assignment (Diploma or Master). Tertiary education may be substituted by equivalent excellent artistic/scholarly work.
• outstanding artistic qualification for the subject, proven by an artistic portfolio (catalogue of works, representative performances/recordings and composition commissions)
• active and prolific international activity in composition
• pedagogical and didactic experience in education and/or continuing education relevant to the specific field of music composition

Specific Requirements

• teaching experience in the sector of post-secondary education relevant to the specific field of music composition
• management qualities
• willingness to co-operate in the development and realisation of musical/artistic education objectives in the field of composition/music theory with regard to a new curriculum
• experience in the field of electroacoustic music, multimedia
• working knowledge of non-classical and non-European music as well as in the areas of (musical) theatre and film
• publications on issues related to contemporary music and its performance
