Expected start: September 2025.Tasks:

• Research in the theoretical description and numerical simulation of time-dependent quantum many-body systems, in particular response of laser driven molecular systems and 2D materials
• Co-development of the time-dependent two-particle reduced density matrix method
• Completion of a dissertation including writing a PhD thesis
• Publishing of scientific articles in peer reviewed journals
• Participation in research and project activities
• Participation in scientific events
• Participation in teaching activities and exams
• Participation in supervision of Bachelor and Master level students
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completion of Master studies in Physics with excellent grades
• Strong interest and enthusiasm for analytical as well as numerical work in theoretical physics
• Interest in applications and collaborations with experimental groups
• Prior hands-on knowledge of the time-dependent two-particle reduced density matrix method is a plus.
• Prior knowledge of state-of-the-art equilibrium methods such as coupled cluster theories is highly welcome.
• Interest in supervision of and working with Bachelor and Master level students
• Ability to conduct independent research and think creatively
• Open communication style and the ability to work with other group members creatively and cooperatively
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
• Advanced communication skills in German are a plus.
