Let’s shape the future together!Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsSpecific RequirementsYour personal sphere of play:The Institute of Systematic Theology and Ethics, Department of Social Ethics, has a post-doc position available for the duration of a maternity leave.We are looking for a scientist who can conduct research at a high level in the field of social ethics and who can teach in the department (especially political ethics).Your future tasks:Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You build up an independent research profile.
  • You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
  • You publish internationally and give lectures.
  • You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • You supervise your students.
  • You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed doctoral/PhD studies in the field of social ethics (e.g. political ethics, applied ethics, critical social theory, Christian social ethics/ theological ethics)
  • Proven research skills and initiative through international publications in peer-reviewed media
  • Expertise in the field of Christian social ethics, political ethics or applied ethics.
  • IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of university structures and processes is desireble
  • Excellent knowledge of English (C1)
  • Team player and high social/communicative skills
