We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.The roleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Treasury & Liquidity team at Phoenix Group as Treasury Specialist working in Group Treasury Operations, supporting the Head of Group Treasury Operations with Treasury back office/banking activities and change initiatives.The department has recently gone through some changes, resulting in the creation of a centralised Group Treasury Operations team with team members in the following locations Wythall, London, Edinburgh.Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and forecast daily cash requirements to maintain liquidity, working closely across the business to enable Treasury front office to maximise the use of excess cash and that accounts are funded as required.
- Settlement of treasury dealing activities with approved counterparties, including derivatives and money market instruments. Oversee and execute other payments Domestic, Cross-border, SEPA as required by the business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for successful execution.
- Execute intercompany fund transfers and manage cash pooling structures.
- Maintain bank mandates and keeping them up to date and assist with updates
- Assist with completing banking documentation for opening and closing bank accounts
- Support management and the team to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures and statutory requirements relevant to Treasury operations
- Maintain an up-to-date repository of KYC documentation monitoring and reviewing for expires, Policy changes and regulatory updates.
- Support Treasury system administration such as static data maintenance on Kyriba and internet banking portals
- Attend bank meeting to help enhance banking relationships and learn about new products and developments
- Support the Head of Group Treasury Operations in identifying, analysing and delivering change initiatives, with a focus on improving efficiency and maintaining strong risk management.
- Help support the delivery and ongoing development of the Treasury Management System (Kyriba) and other technology opportunities to with Treasury Operations.
- Assist in the preparation of Treasury operations reports for internal and external and regulatory compliance.
- Keep abreast of relevant regulatory changes.
What we are looking for?
- Proven experience in round Treasury Operations – Front / Back and Middle Office
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to assess financial risk.
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and embraces change
- Effective communication skills and comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems (Kyriba advantageous) and Banking portals (HSBC.net, Bankline, Barclays.net & Iportal, Lloyds online, Olis, AIB advantageous)
- Focused on delivering results, taking ownership of your work, Strong team player who builds strong relationships with colleagues
- ACT qualified or studying towards advantageous
