As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.At the Institute of Architectural Sciences, in the Research Unit of Building Physics and Building Ecology TU Wien is offering a position as student staff in research/administration for 17 hours/week. Expected start: February 2025. This position is limited until 31.12.2028, but no longer than the completion of a master’s or diploma degree.Tasks:
- Collaboration in the preparation and implementation of projects
- Administrative participation in teaching as well as in the supervision of students
- Organizational support in the supervision of exercises
- Administrative involvement in teaching and in the supervision of students, in particular support in communication with students
- Organisational support in the supervision of courses
- Assistance with organisational and administrative tasks in the area of teaching
Your profile:
- Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s program Architecture, Building Sciences and Environment, Civil- and Environmental Engineering or similar; no completed master’s or diploma degree in the subject area
- Specific subject knowledge, particularly in the field of building physics, technical construction, building services engineering, building modelling and simulation, as well as in the field of structural engineering, databases/data structures is desirable
- Experience in the academic field is an advantage, but not a necessity
- Team- and communication skills
- Motivation to carry out tasks responsibly and independently, as well as good self-organisation
- Teamwork and communication skills, as well as an organisational understanding of the Austrian higher education system and the structure of TU Wien and study architecture
- Quick comprehension and interest in learning new skills, e.g. new software applications
- Excellent German and English language skills, open to other cultures
- Good knowledge of common, general software products (office applications, image processing), as well as subject-specific software packages (CAD/BIM systems, special tools for building physics) is desired
