Our story starts in France in the 1980s, when we created the first ever quick-frozen part-baked baguette. Since then, Délifrance has never stopped developing bakery, patisserie and savoury products for foodservice providers, retailers and bakers.We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to join us at our Southall site in West London, working on a 3 on 3 off, days/nights shift pattern.

  • Collaborate with Planning and other colleagues to optimise production planning to achieve efficiencies
  • Ensure delivery of the schedule to the set target on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Contribute to Manufacturing Loss Analysis forums for improvement driven cost reduction
  • Monitor and challenge line downtime losses, highlight to improve OEE performance
  • Develop, and ensure robust adherence to process and machine standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in waste reduction and management
  • Work collaboratively with Material, Warehouse and Planning departments to reduce the risk of performance losses
  • Manage all production staff, using your direct reports to maintain production plans and meet KPI and production targets
  • Recognise, highlight and resolve where appropriate training needs and performance shortfalls in team members both Compliance and On-The-Job
  • Be responsible for the appraisal process of all team members
  • Deal with and manage staff issues, complaints and grievances by working closely with HR to follow the company’s disciplinary processes. Carry out investigations and disciplinary hearings

Ideal candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate a variety of skills and competencies including:

  • Demonstrate Team Player behaviour and being dynamic in response to challenges
  • Good command of verbal and written English language
  • Good people manager
  • Excellent understanding of Health and Safety requirements and Quality and Hygiene systems
  • Ideally with food manufacturing/bakery experience – but not essential
  • Competent use of MSOffice (Excell, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ideally IOSHH trained, HACCP Level 3 with aspiration for Continuous improvement Yellow Belt standard
