Job DescriptionAt SGS, we are dedicated to advancing agricultural research and innovation. Our team supports clients in optimising crop production, protecting the environment, and ensuring sustainable farming practices. We are now seeking a Trials Agronomist to join our Natural Resources team and play a key role in delivering high-quality agricultural trials.What You’ll DoAs a Trials Agronomist, you will:

• Plan, organise, and conduct field trials in line with Good Experimental Practice (GEP) (GLP) and industry standards.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret trial data to support clients’ research and development objectives.
• Ensure the accurate application of treatments and precise trial assessments.
• Maintain trial sites, including land preparation, sowing, and harvesting.
• Communicate trial progress and results with clients and colleagues.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols while working with agricultural equipment, chemicals, and trial sites.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or alternative related experience.
• Previous experience in field trials or agricultural research (preferred but not essential for the right candidate).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A full UK driving license (essential).
• A passion for agriculture, sustainability, and innovation.
