By drawing on talent from across the UK, it embraces a fully location agnostic model, ensuring the firm has access to the widest possible pool of talent to meet client needs.Senior Talent Advisor, Re:link – The role:At Re:link our lawyers are our lifeblood. Allocated into different sub-teams (“Desks”) to focus on distinct practice areas and/or clients, the Talent team ensures that there a strong bench of high-quality consultants who can be deployed rapidly by Re:link’s Client team to meet client needs.We are currently recruiting for a Senior Talent Advisor to join our talented Talent team. The successful candidate will support the Desk that currently focusses chiefly on banking, capital markets, financial regulation and investment funds placements. Additionally, as Re:link evolves and grows, it is possible that the Senior Talent Advisor may be asked in the future to re-focus on Talent activities in other or new practice areas and/or Desks and they should be willing to do so.Your main responsibilities will include:
- Talent Attraction and Pipeline. Implementing the Talent team’s attraction strategy to ensure a constant flow of high-quality consultants to meet client demand in targeted practice areas, together with wider Talent team. This includes identifying new talent sources, targeted marketing, engaging with the Linklaters alumni community, leveraging partner and associate networks and market monitoring.
- Recruitment and quality assessment. Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for prospective Re:link consultants, ensuring a professional and personalised experience. This includes screening applications, conducting interviews, coordinating partner feedback, assessing and deciding on candidates’ suitability, making offers, obtaining references, and overseeing onboarding.
- Relationship building. Responsible for ongoing engagement and relationship building with Re:link consultants aligned to their Desk, including both consultants on assignment or waiting on the platform, including through regular check-ins and other communications, ensuring that their profiles are constantly updated and that they are ready for rapid deployment to meet client demand.
- Subject matter expert. Building and developing sound technical knowledge in the practice areas aligned to their Desk, for the purpose of enhancing engagement with Re:link consultants and practice groups.
- Working with practice groups. Building relationships and working closely with Linklaters partners and practice groups aligned to the Desk. This includes working with practice groups to assess Re:link applicants and to ensure they meet required quality standards. It also includes leveraging practice groups’ networks to attract top talent to meet client demand
- Community. Supporting the wider Talent team to grow and build the Re:link consultant community and to enhance the consultant experience, including through events, benefits, training and other initiatives.
- Searches and matching. Supporting the Client team on active client sales opportunities to identify and match suitable Re:link consultants to client needs. Achieves this by leveraging deep personal knowledge of consultants’ skills, experience and career objectives (developed through ongoing engagement and relationship building) and informing and advising the Client team, to ensure that Re:link achieves its client sale targets.
- Teamwork. Supporting the wider Talent Team generally as part of a collaborative global Talent Team, including providing cover or additional capacity to other Desks during periods of high busyness, holidays or other absences, as well as the ongoing development and streamlining of the team’s processes and systems. Undertaking other wider Re:link team projects and priorities where so required.
Senior Talent Advisor, Re:link – What we’re looking for:You will ideally have/be:
- experience in a comparable role in a flexible legal resourcing and/or alternative legal services platform;
- an excellent interviewer who combines high emotional intelligence with commercial acumen to ensure that the recruitment process is effective, seamless and professional, as well as the ability to deliver challenging messages and manage expectations appropriately;
- a committed, collaborative team player;
- natural rapport with people, builds relationships easily, confident and articulate and comfortable dealing with senior Re:link consultants, Linklaters partners and other internal and external stakeholders;
- brings structure, discipline and focus, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities;
- a genuine interest in the wider financial services sector and in the careers and roles undertaken by the Re:link consultants for whom they will be responsible
