We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Stocken, a category C Men’s Prison located in Stretton, Rutland.Hours

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday – Friday

SalaryThis position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £42,094 – £47,466 per annum FTE depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you’ll be doingAs a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Work work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
• Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model.
• Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users
• You will monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers
• Work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
• You will support ingroup work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
• Occasionally be required to support dispensing. You must have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

• Registered nurse – Mental Health or Adult Nurse
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
• Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
• Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
• Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
