• Research activities in the field of machine learning methods for engineering geodesy, industrial surveying, deformation measurement and analysis
• Teaching – this includes in particular giving lectures and tutorials in German (Bachelor’s degree) – as well as assisting with examinations
• Project work and leading project groups/working groups
• Publication activities
• Participating in and organising scientific events
• Supervising students
• Assisting with organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Specific Requirements

• Completion of a relevant doctorate in the field of geodesy and geoinformation
• Knowledge of scientific work and excellent expertise in machine learning, deformation measurement and analysis, industrial surveying
• In-depth knowledge in the field of adjustment calculation
• Experience in the calibration of industrial robot arms with geodetic measuring instruments is an advantage
• Interdisciplinary work

• Experience in teaching and publishing
• Organisational and analytical skills and a structured way of working
• Excellent knowledge of German (language of instruction), very good knowledge of English
• Interest and enjoyment in research and working with students
• Ability to work in a team and problem-solving skills
