Juice Personnel Ltd are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager on behalf of our client – a global, integrated pharmaceutical company committed to accelerating access to affordable and innovative medicines across diverse therapeutic areas.This is a high-impact leadership role based at the Mirfield site, responsible for the operational performance of the manufacturing facility.   • Lead and motivate shift teams to achieve site KPIs and business goals.
  • Uphold high standards of safety and compliance with company policies and legislation.
  • Champion continuous improvement, including de-bottlenecking, cycle time reduction, and operational standardisation.
  • Facilitate effective cross-team communication through team briefs, bulletins, and updates.
  • Drive training and development initiatives, working with HR and L&D to build capability.
  • Monitor performance and discipline, managing attendance and team development.
  • Align production priorities with the SLT to meet throughput and KPI targets.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to minimise downtime and coordinate maintenance schedules.
  • Manage and control operational budgets within set parameters.
  • Maintain oversight of contractors and ensure compliance with all H&S standards.
  • Act as deputy to the Site Leader as required.

About You

  • Degree/HNC level education (or equivalent), or NVQ Level 3 with relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in COMAH environments and pharmaceutical GMP (preferred).
  • Proven track record in leading multi-disciplined teams within high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
  • Speed & Rigour in Execution: Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Flexible working:
  • 40 hours per week, typical hours are 08.30-17.00 with a 30-minute lunch break, hours are flexible the company core hours are 10.00-16.00
  • Annual leave:
  • 25.5 days plus bank holiday (the 0.5 day is for Christmas Eve)
  • Then an additional day after 5, 10 and 15 years’ service up to 28.5 days
  • 8 days can be carried over or cashed in
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave:
  • Over a years’ service get enhanced parental leave
  • Enhanced maternity which is 13 weeks full pay then 26 weeks half pay
  • Enhance paternity is 2 weeks full pay
