permanent position at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell BiologyJob Reference Number: 62010-2024-001088Job Duties:

• Independent teaching and supervision of courses and lectures in anatomy (macroscopic and microscopic anatomy (histology), embryology, neuroanatomy) including all types of teaching (lectures, seminars, virtual-haptic anatomy, practical course, teaching on wet preparations, ultrasound)
• Independent teaching and independent management of courses in the doctoral program “Medical Sciences”
• Participation in exams (written and oral), design of content for written and oral examinations
• Willingness to contribute to ongoing research projects and research collaborations in the institute (10% of the working hours)
• Development of innovative teaching concepts especially in virtual histology using microscopic data
• Supervision of Bachelor/Master students
• Handling of administrative duties especially in relation to the coordination and organization of teaching in the institute
• Further development of the curriculum

Your Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a Diploma, Magister or Masters degree in medicine, human biology or related medical/natural sciences/morphological subjects with an above average doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat., Dr. med., PhD)
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in anatomy including macroscopy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy
• Proof of written and oral examinations held (e.g. examination activity in the German state examination)
• Minimum 3 years experience as a PostDoc in academia (university, research institute such as Max Planck Society, etc.)
• Publications in morphologically oriented research (as first or last author in peer-reviewed journals)
• Didactic/educational qualification and willingness to participate in continuing education in medical didactics, respectively
• Very good spoken and written German and English (C1 level)
