The team comprises hydrogeologists, geothermal specialists, engineering geologists, seismic engineers, dam engineers, geohazard specialists as well as geotechnical engineers and tunnellers. An opportunity has come up for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join this team in London on a hybrid basis.You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the hydrogeological and geothermal aspects of a wide range of projects including, dewatering for basement construction, contaminated hydrogeological evaluations, assessment of impact of construction on groundwater flow, shallow and deep geothermal resource development etc. Your wealth of technical experience will be integral in delivering a wide range of projects including:

  • Contributing to dewatering design and groundwater control in tunnelling and deep basements.
  • Assessment of potential damming effects of basements and underground structures.
  • Contributing to renewable energy developments and design associated with hydrogeology and geothermal systems.
  • Development of specialist hydrogeological skills to match our work profile.
  • Interfacing with geotechnical (and other) engineers as well as energy and investment advisory consultants on a regular basis.
  • Prepare drawings and reports and hydrogeological/geothermal specifications, review and analyse monitoring data.
  • Perform groundwater modelling using tools such as MODFLOW, SEEP/W, Aqtesolv, among other platforms.
  • Project management including proposal and budget development; client management, invoicing, and budget management.

You will have a background in dewatering designs for basement and infrastructure development, including formulating ground/groundwater models and interpretation of groundwater flows. As a seasoned project manager, you will be familiar with bidding and proposals for new opportunities for the team.Requirements:

  • A background in specification, supervision and interpretation of ground investigations and pumping tests
  • Knowledge of MODFLOW, SEEP/W or similar groundwater modelling software.
  • Knowledgeable of geothermal (or related) project development stages and investment requirements.
  • Ideally MSc/PhD in Hydrogeology or related.
  • Belong to a professional association.
