The Team:
The Infrastructure & Utilities practice was established by S&P Global Ratings to expand our ratings franchise in an area of strong global growth and to leverage our significant infrastructure expertise across the full range of infrastructure asset classes. Globally, analytical team members reside in 24 locations and work on a diverse range of transactions applying different ratings criteria, predominantly corporate and project finance. We also work on transactions in partnership with other practices on a regular basis.
The APAC team is comprised of 15 members that operates in a collegial and collaborative atmosphere. The team focused on managing a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and utilities corporate credits across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific led by an Analytical Manager, Infrastructure & Utilities Ratings – SSEA and Pacific.
The Impact:
This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and quality of our credit assessments, directly influencing investment decisions and market confidence. By engaging with senior management and presenting findings, the Senior Analyst ensures that our clients receive timely and accurate ratings, enhancing S&P Global’s reputation as a trusted advisor in the market.

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of infrastructure and utilities credits for SSEA and Pacific.

Interact with senior management to gather information for credit rating decisions.

Actively participate in rating committees, presenting findings and rationale.

Engage in analytical work groups to enhance industry expertise.

Prepare timely materials for publication, including rating reports and press releases.

Prepare commentaries/ papers on areas of expertise for publication.

Share knowledge/ participate in initiatives to improve group operations (through sharing analytical expertise, coaching to more junior staff, project work)

Cooperate with non-analytical staff to ensure that the process dimension of the analytical process is properly executed.

Demonstrate service excellence and professionalism towards external and internal clients.
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree: advanced degree or CFA charter is a plus.

A S&P employee at this level would typically have minimum of five years of experience in an analytical position; infrastructure and project finance industry experience is a plus.

Strong financial statement analysis skills and accounting knowledge.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Highly motivated team player with the ability to work autonomously.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Ability to lead rigorous analytical work and produce timely commentaries.

Professional demeanor in interactions with internal and external clients
