We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager within the technology solutions sector, ideally with a background in Transport Management or Logistics to join us at Microlise!As our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and supporting the sales activities of the Account Management team. You will be focussing on achieving the team’s combined quota, supporting day-to-day operations, and developing strategies to optimise performance.   • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Mid level and Senior Account Managers to achieve their individual and team sales targets
  • Provide day-to-day management and guidance to the Account Management team, including setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Own and drive the team’s revenue target, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Support Account Managers in developing and executing strategies to identify new upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Monitor sales pipeline and forecast accuracy, taking proactive measures to address any gaps in achieving targets
  • Analyse sales data and metrics to drive performance improvements, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Implement data-driven strategies to optimise sales activities, improve conversion rates, and enhance overall team efficiency
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Account Management on team performance, pipeline health, and revenue projections
  • Collaborate with the Head of Account Management to develop and refine sales processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance the efficiency of the sales cycle
  • Work closely with other departments, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure a seamless customer journey and alignment of sales efforts with overall company objectives

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience working within Account Management
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales talent
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Strong track record of managing a sales team to exceed revenue targets and driving consistent growth
  • Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to leverage insights to guide decision-making and improve sales outcomes
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK as and when the business requires, and a full UK driving license.
