IMBA is a basic research institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the leading national sponsor of non-university academic research.Research group:We are a young and enthusiastic research lab working at the intersection of embryonic development and metabolism. We use stem cell-based in vitro model systems to investigate the tissue scale organisation of metabolic processes and their impact on developmental processes. Our aim is to uncover the underlying principles by which metabolism regulates tissue patterning and morphogenesis. We are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.Your profile:We are looking for a team member who is highly motivated and enthusiastic about developmental and stem cell research. We offer training in cutting-edge in vitro model systems for human development, genome engineering, omics techniques, and imaging, as well as the opportunity to work on exciting research questions. The position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. While the ideal candidate will be keen on supporting PhD students and postdocs, they are also encouraged to develop their own research project. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to contribute to a stimulating and supportive lab environment are essential.Successful applicants will have at least a Master’s degree in biology or related fields or equivalent working experience and proficiency in cell culture. The minimum gross annual salary for this position is € 40,600 (full-time, 40hrs/week) with a willingness to overpay for appropriate qualifications and experience. The initial contract will be for 5 years with the possibility of extension.
