The Reporting Development Manager will work as a key member of the BIU management team to efficiently manage and develop the Corporate and Performance Information reporting functions, in line with the strategic objectives of King’s College Hospital. The role significantly contributes to the strategic direction of information management within the Trust with the core purpose to establish and continually enhance the suite of web-based, automated, and user-driven reports to support the developing needs of the Trust’s corporate and clinical stakeholders.Main duties of the jobTo support the Head of Business Intelligence to ensure that routine and statutory/mandatory information reports and returns are delivered in accordance with required reporting timetables. To ensure that robust information systems and assurance frameworks are in place to support the effective management and delivery of external performance and quality targets.Post holder will also lead an information and analytical service to the Trust’s divisions and operational teams which supports the organisation’s contractual and regulatory performance requirements. To lead the continuous development and efficient production of information reports and systems, to meet the developing needs of the Trust’s key internal and external stakeholders.Post-holder will manage the Senior Information Analyst and lead the Corporate Information team of analysts. They will also be required to develop close links with the Head of Performance and divisional information team. To develop new and different uses of information resources through investigative analysis, taking a pro-active approach to future developments and constant liaison with Operations staff. To play a lead role in the collection, analysis and reporting of activity-related data and monitoring of activity targets, including reviewing activity trends and modelling future service development. To support the other senior managers in BIU in reviewing areas of delivery concerning issues arising from external regulators (NHSI, CQC), commissioners or auditors, national KPIs and CQUINs. To work with General Managers and clinical leads to ensure the divisions waiting lists, elective and emergency admissions are managed in accordance with Trust and DH polices and that cancer, 18-week, e-Referrals System, and associated targets are met; contributing to the development and implementation of corrective actions as required.   • Postgraduate degree level qualification or equivalent

Desirable

  • Project management, eg Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
  • Management Qualification
  • Specialist Training in a data science language

  • Knowledge of patient access targets and the wider NHS
  • Track record of operational or performance management
  • Demonstrable ability to translate Operational/clinical knowledge into clear reports
  • Staff management

Desirable

  • Experience with EPIC Clarity / Caboodle
  • Database admin and SQL tuning
  • Research aligned or ability to interpret relevance of best practice guidance
