New! – our client is a leading Chambers-rated firm with a top-tier real estate practice who are recognised for their exceptional technical knowledge within the legal directories.Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Real Estate Associate (NQ+) to join the expanding team based in Surrey.The ideal individual will have trained with an established regional, city or national firm and have gained a good overview across a broad range of real estate transactions – notably freehold; leasehold; leases; sub-lets; L&T.You will be able to demonstrate a consistently strong academic profile and any regional ties to the Surrey are preferable.The Real Estate team currently consists of 6 partners and circa. 20 fee-earners. It’s regarded as one of the leading real estate practices in the South East outside London, and is recommended by the leading independent legal directories.There is PSL and paralegal support within the department and access to a wide range of valuable on-line resources.The department handles a broad range of real estate work and includes teams dedicated to property litigation, construction and environmental. The main areas of expertise are:
- Development
- Investment
- Corporate occupiers (including retail/office/industrial)
- Banking
Clients include mid-tier businesses (whether quoted or owner-managed), household name PLCs and other major international groups, and high net worth private clients.Individuals should be a real team player with good inter-personal skills, strong academics and high quality experience:– typically with a major City or leading national/regional practice.– successful candidates can expect to work with a number of partners within the group, in small and occasionally larger teams, as well as running cases with minimal supervision.The firm offer excellent supervision, coaching and training and are looking for the right person to take ownership of matters wanting to build long term relationships with existing Clients and become a key member of our team.An appetite for business development will be a definite advantage.The firm consistently rank highly within employee engagement surveys and frequently promote employee well-being initiatives, remote working and place an emphasis on a sensible work-life balance with many fee-earners and partners balancing family and career commitments.The team frequently advise on complex commercial property matters in the UK and internationally including:– Portfolio Management– Real Estate Finance– Landlord & Tenant– Development Projects– Investment OpportunitiesThis is a collegiate and high-performing team who strive to exceed client expectations on every transaction.
