To function as the Property Services Manager having ownership and oversight of all property related operational and compliance aspects for Study Group’s property interests. In addition, you will play an active role in the mobilisation of new properties. The role is flexible between a local office and home-based but with extensive travel required across the region.ABOUT THE ROLE

• Be the first point of contact for Centre Directors in relation to Facilities matters,
• Liaising with University partners to ensure that Study Group’s property interests are maintained in line with required standards.
• Carry out periodic inspection of Study Group properties. Keeping records of inspections and raising and addressing any issues identified.
• Deliver a variety of projects, ranging from a support role in fitting out of new properties and mobilisation of space, to minor internal refurbishment of existing space.
• Monitor performance of the property providers with regular meetings on property matters.
• Where necessary, identify and appoint relevant facilities contractors ensuring all due diligence is carried out.
• Ongoing performance management of contractors whether service or project related.
• Produce by-weekly reports on performance of respective sites.
• Liaise with Group Health and Safety Manager on all H&S and environmental matters.
• Maintain the lease/licence obligation required by Study Group.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience of managing a range of properties, with education experience.
• Working knowledge of buildings and relevant systems within them (i.e. Fire Alarm, Water regulations and M&E etc).
• Understanding of relevant Health and Safety and Property Law for specific geographical location.
• Relevant Health and Safety experience and or qualifications.
• Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Understanding of financial controls relating to rent & rate increases or rebates.
• Experience in the procurement and management of contractors.
