As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.The Center for Research Data Management at TU Wien is looking to strengthen our team, expected starting March 2025. Our department supports researchers at TU Wien in topics relating to the entire life cycle of research data.The position is supported by the project ‘Shared RDM Services and Infrastructure’ funded by the BMBWF (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research) and is therefore limited to the duration of the project (June 30th, 2026). If additional funding is available, the contract may be extended beyond this fixed time frame.Tasks:Project management:

  • You coordinate exciting projects in the areas of research data management (RDM) and open science
  • You will be responsible for keeping an eye on objectives, timelines and costs
  • Your tasks will also include writing project proposals, preparing reports and reporting to project partners and funding bodies
  • You will work closely with researchers, IT specialists, other departments at TU Wien and our RDM colleagues at Austrian and international research institutions

Communication and networking:

  • You develop and implement creative communication strategies to address our researchers and strengthen the Open Science movement in Austria
  • You organize and are responsible for workshops, trainings and events – and also moderate them
  • You use your ideas to design information materials
  • You recognize new trends and bring fresh ideas to research data management
  • You develop guidelines and best practices together with the team

Your profile:

  • You have a degree, e.g. in information management, communication sciences, project management or a similar field; Experience in research data management and open science is an advantage
  • You have experience in project management – ideally in an academic environment
  • Experience with graphics tools (e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) is desirable, or you are willing to familiarise yourself with them
  • You are motivated to familiarise yourself with the topic of research data management or are already familiar with it
  • You enjoy communicating and network easily with others
  • You work in a structured manner and maintain an overview
  • Digital tools and platforms are no challenge for you
  • You are fluent in German and English
