Offer DescriptionThe successful candidate will embody Schumpeter’s understanding of entrepreneurial thinking within the framework of business models. The position requires an interdisciplinary approach, will demonstrate foundational and application-oriented relevance and possess an international reputation. The position holder should represent the field of business models in research and teaching. Given the market-oriented focus of the position, a fundamental understanding of marketing and its interfaces with the fields of entrepreneurship, service research, and data science is required. Additionally, participation in the field of excellence “Smart Regulation” is desirable, alongside willingness to engage with the Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies. Teaching is expected at the bachelor’s and master’s level (including the delivery of foundational courses), as well as in the School’s doctoral programme. Teaching should be carried out in English and German. The successful candidate will have outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching, a visible network with the international research community and a willingness to develop and maintain a network of representatives of the local business and start-up community.   • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
  • Habilitation or equivalent qualification in business administration
  • Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline and for the profile of the professorship (commensurate with stage of academic career and interruptions in employment due to caring responsibilities)
  • Success in attracting subject-specific project grants, particularly where competitively awarded third-party funds are concerned
  • Skills in higher education didactics including the use of digital media
  • Skills in the supervision and guidance of early stage researchers
  • Professional experience abroad during academic career
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Gender mainstreaming skills
  • Experience in the development of subject-specific curricula
  • Experience in shaping the subject-specific research agenda
  • Visible integration into the scientific research community
  • Willingness to develop and maintain a network of representatives of the local business and start-up community

Additional InformationBenefitsThe minimum remuneration as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 89.075,00 gross per year.
