A central support office provides financial, HR, IT, Supply Chain and other administrative services to the group companies each of whom retains its own personality and who operate across a number of catering and hospitality markets.Recent acquisitions provide the group with new opportunities and include prestigious locations such as Musee Du Louvre in Paris and partnerships with established chefs such as Claus Meyers in Denmark.Job DescriptionA newly created vacancy within Wholesale Procurement Team; directly reporting into the Wholesale Senior Purchasing Manager & Head of Wholesale. The role is suitable for entry level with the aim to optimize the procurement team’s performance and processes by creating reports, analyzing data and supporting benchmarking activities. Working with WSH business to be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries and with suppliers to support price negotiations, general queries and overall performance.Key accountabilities
- Management of regular reporting requirements to enable benchmarking across relevant Operating companies
- Analytical support for supplier negotiations (including benchmarking activities)
- Data gathering and analysis to support key projects/tenders/price reviews and op-co facing format once reviews are complete
- Supporting process improvements around supplier onboarding and risk management
- Working closely with Supply Chain team to support business queries around suppliers
- Ensuring reporting is up to date when it comes to team’s compliance to key performance metrics e.g. Enable, project tracker, risk
- Pulling together the data for the Op-Co buying guides
- Category responsibility on agreed categories to support progression
QualificationsWhat we need from you:It would be beneficial to have:
- A strong grasp of data analysis techniques to interpret spend patterns and procurement trends
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas where relevant)
- Able to navigate procurement technology platforms to support with data analysis and manipulation. Such as Sievo, Coupa
- Understanding of cost structures, financial reporting
Skills and qualifications
- Data analysis and reporting
- Strong Excel skills
- Financial acumen especially around cost analysis
- Problem solving and critical thinking – ability to analyses complex procurement challenges and propose innovative solutions backed by data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to build and maintain positive relationships while holding people to deadlines and to account
- Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and still meet deadlines
- Skilled in (and willing to learn) how to foster mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers
