Find out how you can make a difference at Siemens Gamesa:.How to contribute to our visionAre you ready to give our wind turbine blades the final touch?We are now looking for a Process and Industrial Engineer- Segment 5 to join our team at Hull, UK.For our Post Surface Treatment Team we are looking for a Process Engineer within the final assembly area working with the wind turbine blades add on’s such as vortex generators, LEP and Dino shells. Here the key is to develop new and improve our current processes and support production.As a Process and Industrial Engineer, you will be working with development of new and improvement of existing Final assembly processes in wind turbine blade production including assembly of accessories, drilling, machining, weighing and balancing. You will be supporting the factory everyday production and ensuring standardized production across the factory through documentation and support. You will be developing processes for new projects, equipment and develop documentation for the production processes (work instruction, P-FMEA and risk assessments).Collaborating with our global team, based in Denmark, to improve and implement processes and equipment related to blade manufacturing. As a process and Industrial Engineer, you will be required to;Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:Your main focus areas will be to develop the right solutions for process and equipment in blade manufacturing and to lead implementation and standardization of manufacturing processes and equipmentResponsible for the development and specification of equipment and processesResponsible for validation and qualification of equipment, materials and processesSupporting root cause analysisEnsuring Best Practice sharing across shifts and plantsCollaborating with suppliers and contractorsCollaborating with other internal departments e.g. the technology department and the quality departmentResponsible for documentation of processes in collaboration with the documentation departmentDefinition of process specifications and associated control issuesCoordinate the development and deployment of new pre-manufacturing processes as necessary to support the manufacturing areaInitiate and support LEAN projectsPlan processes, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maintain optimum and safe utilisation of plant resourcesAnticipate issues with process and material implementation and provide timely feedback and information to employees as appropriateCreate necessary reports to communicate to peers and managementWhat you need to make a differenceYou have worked with production processes and hold an engineering degree or have significant experience from similar position. It is an advantage if you have industry experience and experience with composites. It is important that you possess knowledge in adhesive technologies and materials and must be familiar with Risk assessment and FMEA.You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview and have a hand-on approach to problems. You possess the ability to both work independently and in teams and you have great English skills both orally and in writing.You should encourage feedback, listening and challenging in an open team environment that supports innovation and learning even in the face of mistakes or when difficult issues arisePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
