A well-established and respected law firm based in the market town of Skipton-known as the “Gateway to the Dales”-is seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE to join its Private Client department.The successful candidate will assume responsibility for an existing and diverse caseload covering the full range of Private Client matters. Responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and executing wills from initial instruction to signature
• Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Obtaining Grants of Representation and administering estates, including the preparation of estate accounts
• Advising on inheritance tax planning and implementing appropriate arrangements, including lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, and other gifting strategies
• Preparing and submitting inheritance tax accounts, with particular emphasis on Agricultural and Business Property Reliefs
• Administering lifetime and will trusts, including the preparation of trust accounts, tax returns, and relevant deeds to alter or terminate trusts
• Preparing and managing Court of Protection Deputyship applications and ancillary matters
• Advising attorneys on their duties and providing assistance as required
