The theatre complex comprises of twenty theatre suites with four recovery units, these are divided into specific specialties across three departments, including a unique ring-fenced Elective Orthopaedic unit.The specialties include General and Emergency Surgery, Bariatric, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Urology, ENT and Ophthalmology as well as Robotic Surgery. We also provide out of area Anaesthetic cover to areas such as; MRI, CT, Angio, Endoscopy and the local Psychiatric hospitals.We deliver excellent patient experience and quality of care, with patient safety at the forefront of our practice, recognising that theatre practitioners play a vital role in our patient pathway.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Theatre Practitioners who aspire to learn and develop to join our inspirational team. Whether you have specific specialty experience or not, full support and training will be provided. Although the positions will be based in a specific department, you will have the opportunity to work across different specialties.Successful candidates will demonstrate high standards of practice with excellent communication, clinical and decision making skills.
