We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Dermatology Austria who is agile with a drive to build strong lasting relationships, and a flair for an insight-driven strategic approach to their responsibilities. The role will cover Austria.About the roleAre you passionate about advancing medical science and improving patient lives? We are looking for a dedicated MSL to join our Medical Alps team, focusing on Dermatology indications. You will play a crucial role in advancing medical initiatives and improving patient care in the field of dermatology. In your role, you will lead peer-level scientific discussions with healthcare professionals, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). and researchers working in dermatology. And you will develop strong relationships of trust and mutual support built on common interests and map new strategies for patient value creation.You are also involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and are the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research, donations, grants as well as for developing and executing the medical content of the local ecosystem plan. In addition, you will participate in building local medical engagement plans, conducting advisory boards, and arranging scientific symposiums.Who you’ll work with:As the MSL Dermatology you are the scientific discussion partner that dives interactive partnerships with a broader range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals (HCPs), national and international Key opinion leaders (KOLs), patient organizations, and policymakers to advance standard of care and facilitate optimal patient care within designated therapy area. You work externally and internally, and closely with an integrated team across functions and report to the Medical Lead Dermatology Alps.What will you do:
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to discuss scientific topics and address unmet medical needs.
- Serve as the local scientific expert in the therapeutic area.
- Gather and analyze insights from stakeholder interactions to inform medical strategy, clinical development, and patient journey initiatives.
- Support clinical studies and investigator-initiated studies (IISs).
- Identify data gaps and contribute to real-world evidence (RWE) generation initiatives.
- Develop and execute local medical plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share insights and align on strategy.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific requests with accurate and compliant information.
- Communicate relevant data to the right stakeholders at the right time to support informed decision-making.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- within field of Immunology/Life Sciences (PhD preferred).
- Strong communication skills in both German and English, including the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Effective interpersonal and influencing skills to build trust and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Project management abilities, with strong organization and prioritization in a dynamic field-based environment.
- Digital proficiency to leverage technology for stakeholder mapping and insights gathering.
- Curious and strategic mindset, with active listening and critical thinking skills.
- Autonomy and self-motivation, with the ability to manage responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel and maintain a strong presence in the field (e.g., congresses, stakeholder meetings).
