Medical Science Liaison (m/f/d) – Respiratory & ImmunologyLocation: Western Austria (Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Salzburg)Type: PermanentPlease submit your application in EnglishIn this role, you will work as a scientific expert (80% field-based), focusing on high-level scientific exchange with external experts. Your area of responsibility includes identifying and analyzing medical needs, as well as generating relevant insights that contribute to the advancement of therapeutic approaches. In addition, you will support the cross-functional team in the therapeutic area to ensure that all team members can optimally fulfill their specific tasks.
Your role requires a high degree of professionalism and dedication to successfully support the scientific and business goals of the company.Responsibilities:Promote scientific exchange: Identify and maintain ongoing contact with specialists and key experts (80% of working time)Identify local medical practices, trends, or knowledge and evidence gapsWork closely with the Medical Affairs Manager to plan and implement clinical activitiesProvide scientific support to investigators and sites participating in AstraZeneca clinical or non-interventional studies (NIS)Plan and conduct advisory boards, round tables, and regional medical training events (virtual and face-to-face)Prepare and deliver scientific presentations at external events, as well as medical training for new employees and regular ongoing educationRegularly update your scientific and practical knowledge and participate in conferences and medical training eventsRespond to medical inquiriesCollaborate closely with Regulatory, Market Access, Diagnostics, Marketing, and other functionsYour Profile:Completed degree in Medicine, Natural Sciences, or Pharmacy, ideally with a PhDIdeally ≥1 year of experience in pharmaceutical field work (Medical or Sales)Solid medical expertise in immunology/pulmonology is an advantageAbility to process scientific data for different target groupsExcellent presentation skills (virtual as well as face-to-face)Strong communication skillsExcellent coordination skills and a high degree of independenceOpenness, curiosity, and willingness to learnVery good command of EnglishHigh willingness to travel (the position could also potentially be supervised from Eastern Austria)We Offer:Base salary: €67,000/year (full-time basis; higher pay possible depending on qualifications)Bonus payments, company car, and company phoneComprehensive social benefits (company pension and additional insurance)Flexible working hours and hybrid work optionsIndividual development opportunitiesEnvironmentally conscious company with the ambition to be climate neutral by 2025Why should you choose AstraZeneca?
