You will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders based on trust and impact.Key Responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with the business to understand financial challenges. Providing practical advice and solutions, you will operate as a catalyst for informed decision making and improving financial performance.
• Responsibility for financial planning and forecasting.
• Drive monthly performance management. Identifying and understanding variances and trends, providing insight and independent advice to business leaders.
• Develop trust and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Creation of models to help support the business in strategic decision making and performance analysis.
• Driving strategic initiatives from conception through to implementation and realisation of benefits.
• Owning key processes and standards across Business Finance to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice.
• Work closely with the Financial Control team to gain an in-depth understanding of key controllership metrics.

Connect to your skills and professional experience“You’ll have a natural ability to connect and influence senior stakeholders, aiding decision making across the Technology & Transformation Service line”Core skills required include:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), with experience in a finance business partnering role.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence business performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships with all levels of staff with ability to influence where required.
• Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player.
• Excellent communication skills – experience of dealing with senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good IT knowledge and skills in particular modelling and presentations (strength in Excel and PowerPoint essential).
• Experience in a professional service organisation would be advantageous.
