Functional Competencies:
Assist the Commercial Director in the development and execution of the overall Marine business strategy, including matters related to market access, market share, competitive landscape, participation in global tenders and projects as well as local capability build-up.
Engage with BV network and regional teams to bring support to the local business development initiatives.
Communicate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, analyse clients’ needs, propose solutions and ensure clients’ requests / queries are addressed.
Develop relationship with clients, industry partners and prospects (i.e. conversion yards, newbuilding yards, Shipping companies, brokers, consultants and designers, etc.) to harness market intelligence and establish new business ventures.
Manage key accounts and maintain constant engagement with clients through formulating strategies and action plans to manage different tiers of clients and ensure constant engagement.
Maintain customer database and update commercial CRM tools
Identify, monitor and lead the pursuit and contracting of M&O business opportunities
Write and deliver presentations to clients and at conferences and seminars, as required.
Secure effective cooperation between BV Group entities and M&O division through combined sales and business development.
Attend all scheduled trainings (locally and overseas) and ultimately achieving specified delegations as agreed in Performance Management Process.
Keep up to date with new Rules, regulations and technical information or processes disseminated through internal communication.
Closely support marketing events and seminars.
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent with minimum 10 – 15 years working experience in Marine and Offshore related industry, of which 5 years in a commercial capacity.
Possess good communication, networking and influencing skills.
Enjoys meeting people and has good interpersonal skills.
Resilient and motivated.
Experience in marine services sales will be an added advantage.
Candidates who are well proven people managers will be an added advantage.
