By helping organizations pinpoint and eliminate inefficiencies that lead to excessive CPU consumption and extended elapsed times, we empower our customers to significantly reduce hardware and software costs.As a Lead Assembler Developer, you will be an integral part of a highly collaborative and dynamic scrum team, contributing to the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs, tools, and user interfaces. With a focus on both innovation and customer success, you’ll work on developing new features and addressing real-world challenges in performance optimization.This role is perfect for those who thrive on solving complex problems, are passionate about technology, and enjoy working in a team-oriented, non-centralized agile environment.In this role, you will:

• Develop and deliver products, product lines, and solutions using Assembler, COBOL and C.
• Design, code, and resolve defects in increasingly complex, multi-tier software solutions.
• Produce a range of high-quality design options, demonstrating a broad depth of technical knowledge and insight.
• Conduct thorough code and design reviews.
• Make high-impact decisions by identifying and pursuing development paths that deliver the greatest value.
• Research, design, code, unit test, and implement features and applications while providing ongoing support.
• Present functional designs and technical specifications to peers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Create functional designs and specifications from business requirements to guide the development process effectively.
• Work directly with global clients on complex product issues and escalations.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the development team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience with z/OS Processing Environment. At least 7 years IBM coding and development.
• Experience with internal communications and logging in at least one of the following (preference in descending order):

– Db2 (i.e. IFCID)
– CICS
– IMS
– MQ

• Knowledge of diagnostic tools:

– Dump reading/analysis
– Slip traps
– GTF Traces
– System logging

• Coding experience in a multitasking, reentrant and/or sysplex environment
• Understanding IBM z/OS operating system, z/OS Internals
• Experience with code merging activities using source code control systems such as BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (ISPW).
• In depth experience in troubleshooting problems and debugging code at application levels to resolve technical issues and upgrade software and assist in defect resolution.
• Self-starter able to work independently to provide quality solutions with little oversight as a part of a team.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to get work done through others.
• Working in an agile environment (scrum team) with a non-centralized team
• Fluent English (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills.
