• Technical development, support, and administration of IT systems
• Deployment of new software and updates
• Maintenance and optimization of hardware and software components
• Ensuring high availability of all 42 Vienna systems and meeting curriculum requirements
• IT risk management, data protection, and vulnerability analysis
• Learning about IT networks and security, and implementing best practices

Process & Infrastructure Optimization

• Process optimization and automation (e.g., using Go, Python, Ansible)
• Support of campus infrastructure (e.g. Linux, Windows)
• Managing campus assets and supporting teams with tools like Lookerstudio and Metabase
• Support and maintenance of event and meeting room technology
• Facility management

Student & Staff Support

• Coaching students and staff on solving technical problems and introducing IT best practices
• Based on need, supporting the pedagogy team with 42-specific tools
• Help with Piscines, Exams, Kick-Offs, and the development of the learning environment

Requirements

• Professional experience in IT administration and/or IT projects
• Team player who also excels independently, demonstrating a hands-on mentality and a high level of self-motivation. Works in a structured and efficient manner
• Fluency in German and English
• Technical content: Linux (Ubuntu,Debian,Centos, Rocky); Networks: WAN/LAN network, Cisco equipment; Ansible, Nginx; Databases: Postgresql / Mariadb
• Knowledge in: Go, Python, Shell, C/C++ (Bonus); Organisation Git repository, Project Management; CI/CD Tools; Vmware vSphere und vCenter; Webserver Management; System Administration: ldap, Iscsi, Kerberos, SAN Management; Misc: Server Hardware (Raid Configuration, memory replacement)
