If you are excited about joining us and think you have some of what we are looking for, even if you’re not 100% sure we would love to hear from you.Job Details :Analysing various data sources (including loss, policy, quote and market data), to identify opportunities to improve our underwriting footprint to help deliver the ambitious growth targets we have for our Hastings home business.Developing & delivering new insight, including the integration of new data, new innovative techniques and ways of working.Working closely with Actuarial, Data Science, Risk Pricing, Data Engineering, Account Management, Retail and Counter Fraud / Digital teams.Representing the home team on various underwriting projects to generate value for the wider business.Ensure that we are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes for our customers.Ensuring all activities associated with Home Underwriting are compliant with all relevant legislation and regulationsSkills we would love you to have:Comfortable working with and analysing numerical/statistical data.Proficiency in Python and SQL.Collaborates well with colleagues from own team and other teams.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledge of the personal lines insurance market; but other backgrounds will be considered, including non-insurance backgrounds.What we offerJoin us and you’ll find a different way of doing things.
