In the role of Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with health and safety laws, establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal health and safety guidelines and be able to convey this knowledge to a team within the Business Services sector.The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for;

  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.

Health and Safety Manager based in Castle Cary|Great role to progress your careerA successful Health & Safety Manager should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or similar field.
  • NEBOSH & ISO Auditor
  • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience in the Business Services sector.
  • Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
