Looking for a role that offers a better work-life balance? How does a Monday to Friday role with working hours of 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM sound?
We are pleased to be partnering with a unique utilities contractor and one of the UK’s most respected utility companies.As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager to take the lead in shaping and embedding safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) practices across their operations.Why This Role?

  • Autonomy and Responsibility – This is a stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Man-aging Director, where you will have the opportunity to build and refine SHEQ processes.
  • Opportunity to Drive Accreditation – Maintain ISO 9001 and take the business forward in achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Varied and Hands-On Work – Work closely with site teams, ensuring safety in construction environments, including temporary works and deep excavations.
  • A Supportive Team Environment – A business where everyone is involved and willing to help where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SHEQ policies, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis, promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
  • Oversee environmental and quality management systems, including internal and external audits.
  • Deliver SHEQ training and support employees in maintaining high safety standards.

What They’re Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Experience within the Civil Engineering, Utilities, or Infrastructure industries.
  • Experience with audits, accident investigations, and ISO certifications.
  • A full UK driving licence, as site visits will be required, including occasional overnight stays.
