For this role, we are open to remote workAbout the opportunityWorking in the Dayforce regional product team the Product Manager is responsible for driving the development of new and innovative products that solve complex business problems that organisations face today. Executing on the product strategy for the Dayforce Product by delivering value to drive sales, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and with Developers, Technical Writing and Quality Assurance teams throughout the agile development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered to ensure regional delivery needs are met.This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role, working with a diligent and creativeWhat you’ll get to do
- Conduct industry research through working directly with clients, prospects, implementation partners and Dayforce personnel to identify business problems to be solved.
- Manage the product backlog, product release scope and feature requirements.
- Contribute with existing product resources to execute on the strategic product direction.
- Collaborate with the Design and Development teams to turn Product requirements into reality.
- Work with the business prior to product launch to ensure the business is ready to sell, implement, support, and promote the new features.
- Support the organisation as a subject matter expert (SME) for Payroll, HR, Workforce Management & Talent solutions.
- Exhibit innovation in the development of new and improved methods or approaches to problems.
- Serve as the voice of the user in conversations and during collaboration with design, technology, and business partners.
- Drive discussions with customers, users, and developers on execution of product intent.
- Communicate key user needs, vision, strategy and value to the stakeholders and the wider organization and provide thought leadership.
- Identify, prioritize, maintain, and execute against both the backlog and roadmap using a data driven approach.
- Deliver end-to-end products focusing on functionality, performance, security, scalability, resiliency, localization, and integrations.
- Lead change by finding innovative new ways to satisfy business needs through compelling tools and frameworks.
- Operate effectively and independently in an uncertain environment.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competition.
How you will achieve success
- Be a self-starter, with the ability to deliver at pace and to work to tight deadlines.
- Create connectivity between the vision of the product team and their business objectives and the necessary processes and technologies responsible for enabling that vision.
- Collaborate with P&T across departments to ensure requirements are built into teams’ release plans as well as feed the product backlog.
- Conduct discovery on opportunities and necessities for operating our HCM Platform and identify needed adaptations while working closely with Snr Product Managers to rigorously evaluate, classify and pitch innovative ideas.
- Create process and story maps to identify differentiation needed for our products to operate in UK and Ireland while offering opportunities for solutions to be built as processes rather than software or tools.
- Ensure issues that require attention are flagged up to the Snr Product Manager for prioritisation.
Skills and experience we value
- 3+ years of Product Management experience preferably in a SaaS environment.
- 3+ years’ experience with Agile / SCRUM product management methodologies.
- Thorough knowledge of HCM processes and government regulations pertaining to Workforce Management, Talent solutions, Payroll & HR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Thrives when working in a fast-paced, creative, innovative technology environment with a history of results.
- Highly organised, disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team.
- Excellent consulting, collaboration, and communication skills.
- A history of successful management of cross-functional projects including acting as a focal point for separate teams.
- Experience writing user stories, doing user research, decomposing technical projects.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional self-awareness and influencing skills.
- Experience with global human capital management system, mobile application and consumer app design and development is desired.
- An active voice in technical discussions with architects and engineering with the ability to understand how technical decisions impact the product.
- A user centric focus with an understanding of accessibility and UX.
