Are you an experienced procurement professional ready to lead a key project in stock management system implementation? We are seeking a proactive Group Procurement Manager to oversee the successful rollout of a new stock system that will transform purchasing and inventory control. This role suits someone with strong project management skills, a hands-on approach to procurement, and the ability to collaborate across departments.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of a new stock management system within purchasing operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, warehouse, finance, and other teams to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Analyse and improve purchasing and inventory management processes to align with the new system.
  • Define system requirements and work with vendors and developers for customisation.
  • Train the purchasing team and relevant stakeholders on effective system use.
  • Manage supplier performance and order workflows through the stock system.
  • Oversee purchase orders, approval processes, and stock replenishment cycles.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data and generate reports for informed decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot issues and manage risks during and after implementation.
  • Ensure procurement policies and stock control procedures comply with company standards and regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing management or procurement leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with stock management or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing workflows, inventory control, and supplier management.
  • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software tools.
  • Supply Chain or Project Management certification (CPP, PMP) is advantageous.
  • Experience in change management and process re-engineering preferred.
