And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.For our business, for clients, and for youPurpose of the RoleYou will be acting on behalf of the Technology Executive team, to manage business relationships between the Technology Department, its sub-functions and each entity within a super-region to ensure strong collaboration and service delivery, mutual understanding of strategies and key risks, and compliance with relevant standardsThe primary purpose of this role is to ensure the effective operation of inter-group outsourcing between the Global Technology department and each entity within the Apex group. You will ensure all local entities in the region are informed about the technology investment plan and portfolio priorities. Representing the region’s business requirements in the investment planning process and being an advocate for the region’s needs on the steering committee for global technology initiatives.Responsibilities include driving local technology projects, representing the CDIO in local management committees to oversee service through intergroup outsourcing contracts, managing local technology risks, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and acting as a communication conduit to enhance collaboration and effective use of new technologies. Additionally, managing local audits and activities to mitigate risks, close audit actions, and execute controls.Key Responsibilities

  • Technology business partner to all entities in the region. Communicating technology priorities to the local business, as well as representing the needs of the business into the Global Technology department
  • Attend regional and local management committee meetings as required to represent the Technology department. Provide regional input to centralised reporting to ensure consistency but also regional detail
  • Service relationship management – acting as an interface between the Global Service teams and the local entity to ensure that agreed service levels are met and where not appropriate improvement plans are in place
  • Technology governance, risk and controls – attending the Technology Risk Forum to represent the region ensuring comprehensive risk management is in place; reviewing and ensuring local compliance with regulatory requirements are in place in global operating models and ensuring effective control execution locally
  • Ensuring that Technology policies are understood, reflect local compliance needs and are followed. Proving training and guidance where appropriate
  • Take the lead on local client due diligence, audits and regulatory interactions, collaborating with the relevant teams to ensure quality of data provided
  • Act as local technology contact for the Crisis team where incidents are regional, liaising with the Global CTO
  • Act as culture carrier and local point of contact for Technology staff where their line manager is based in another region

Experience required

  • 5 years plus as experienced senior IT leader in a global, regulated enterprise essential
  • Experience in an Asset Servicing or financial services enterprise preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between regional and global teams across all levels, both technically and in relaying strategic messages to a senior audience
  • Proven experience in managing audits, closing audit actions, and executing effective controls
  • Excellent collaboration skills to foster teamwork and enhance communication across teams
  • In-depth knowledge of local and corporate policies and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks at a local level
  • Preferred experience of dealing with regulators and external auditors
