The position:The applicant must have outstanding scientific qualifications and corresponding publications in highly ranked international scientific journals.The applicant’s research is expected to further strengthen the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics as an internationally renowned research institution. The applicant is required to be an expert in the fields of statistics and econometrics. His or her research should focus on areas of modern statistics and econometrics like, for example, identification, causality, inference, prediction or data analytics in general for nonparametric models, time series, cross-sectional or network data, also in high-dimensional, high-frequency, and/or misspecified scenarios. Proficiency in modern data science methods and their applications would constitute a fitting addition to the profile. Interest in applications in the faculty’s research fields, in cooperation beyond the department and contributions to the university’s strategic focus areas (see ) are expected.The applicant’s teaching should contribute to the education in statistics and econometrics at all levels (Bachelor, Master’s, Ph.D.). He or she is also expected to be willing to offer introductory level courses.Your academic profile:
