The position:The professorship will represent the field of Education in research and teaching. This includes the systematic study of the foundations of the discipline and of theories of education, upbringing, and institutions as well as empirical research connected to these. Outstanding, internationally recognized research and excellent teaching are expected in these areas in intersection with educational processes in times of social change, for example with regard to individual biographies, social structures, and current crisis phenomena. In addition, the ability to connect to existing focal points in research and teaching (in German and English) is required. A relevant habilitation or equivalent qualification are expected. The willingness to communicate scientific research with and to the public is desirable.Your academic profile:

• Doctoral degree/PhD
• Outstanding research achievements, excellent publication and funding record, international reputation
• Proven leadership qualities
• Gender and diversity competence
• Experience in designing and managing large research projects
• Enthusiasm for excellent teaching and supervision at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level
• Willingness to take on organisational and administrative responsibilities within the Faculty and/or the University
