  • Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).
  • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Acute disease management.
  • Promoting good personal healthcare.
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.

This role is based within Thames Valley Custody suites:

  • Loddon Valley
  • Maidenhead

The police can detain individuals for up to 24 hours and within this time, we provide a high level of care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.Our dedicated healthcare professionals are also fully trained to collect forensic samples which can assist the police with their investigations.Experience within forensics is NOT NECESSARY.As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.If you’re struggling to maintain a good work-life balance and are looking for clearer boundaries, then this role could be for you.The 4-on-4-off rota pattern will give you the ability to plan your personal life months in advance. The shift pattern comprises of two day shifts, two night shifts, then 4 days off.This is for Full-Time & Part-Time positions available.Benefits
