Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7. 2 weekly rotational shifts (07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00)

The Resourcing team will aim to provide you with an update in the new year.DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To lead the work activities of the site providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development and team management for the workforce
• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI’s
• People Management and Team Leadership in line with the defined business values
• Work in collaboration with other departments and DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice

• Previous and practical experience as a FLM, Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
