Finance Controller – Export and Beyond BeerFunction: Finance
Location: Edinburgh City Centre (a mix of office and home working)
Salary: £65-£75k depending on experience, plus 15% benefits allowance (can be taken as cash), and further benefits listed below

As the Finance Controller – Export and Beyond Beer, you’ll business partner the following teams; * The Export Manager and Supply Chain Export team on all Export and intercompany-related Finance issues include due diligence checks, etc

  • The Head of Beyond beer and her team on all related finance issues in this new and exciting category

You’ll provide first-class performance management, planning and value-adding insight to ensure robust execution of operational plans. You’ll have a primary responsibility to ensure robust governance and control of all Revenue and Cost management objectives along with the statement of financial position reconciliations for Export/Intercompany and Beyond beer transactions vs objectives.You’ll be the main Commercial finance support for the Export Digital Backbone (DBB) project and act as the end-to-end process design and impact assessment manager to the Global Export DBB Design. You’ll also be the main Commercial finance support for the various Beyond beer projects.This is a finance role with a fair amount of autonomy. You’ll gain exposure to varied stakeholders and manage change in a fast-moving environment. Financial leadership skills and operational knowledge gained will be beneficial when moving into other HUK senior finance roles.So, what will you be doing? Here are some key accountabilities;

  • Drive commercial analysis and conversations to maximise Export and Beyond beer P&L profitability.
  • Report profitability at SKU level for all Export/Intercompany/Beyond beer SKUs monthly at GP/HL and GP Margin level.
  • Responsibility for financial reporting, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliation monthly.
  • Responsibility for managing external auditors for all Export/Intercompany and Beyond beer related queries.
  • Lead the annual planning (AP) and rolling forecast (RoFo) cycles for Export / Intercompany and Beyond beer (and monitoring/reporting against the plan thereafter)
  • Govern the execution of the HUK policy and process framework related to this area ensuring that a robust control environment exists with complete integrity of accounting records and financial information.
  • Promote a culture within the Commercial Control Team of continuous improvement of procedures and processes from a Control of Net assets, and revenue and cost management perspective using external insight when available.
  • Proactively work with the Supply Chain Export team & Beyond beer team to (i) identify, analyse, and exploit commercial business opportunities and intervene on fundamental issues to promote profit growth; and (ii) identify common processes within HUK and ensure compliance combined with ensuring specific processes are established and implemented following Heineken Global framework and Heineken Behaviours.

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a commercially aware Qualified Accountant with well-developed financial analysis and evaluation techniques. You’ll have strong stakeholder management skills, able to business partner effectively and be comfortable navigating through ambiguity.If you have;

  • 3-5 years of senior analyst or controller experience.
  • Strong business partnering skills.
  • Experience in continuous financial process improvement.
  • Knowledge of Financial compliance.
