Estates Officer Job descriptionLocation: the location is to be city wide, the role will initially be based at Jordanthorpe Housing Office, South and South West, or Central Area of Sheffield however, you will be expected to work in any Neighbourhood Team.An exciting opportunity has arisen for Estate Officers to join the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service within Sheffield City Council.Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and keen to assist the residents of Sheffield in keeping Neighbourhoods clean and safe?We are looking for Estate Officers to work as part of Sheffield City Council’s Housing and Neighbourhood Service, supporting the delivery of a quality Housing Service.Are you a real people person? Able to work as part of a team? Are you hard working and have good communication skills and deliver excellent customer care? Do you hold a full driving licence?You will need to show a basic understanding of numeracy and literacy skills and will use IT equipment to record your work.You will be expected to drive a works vehicle, and be in a position to carry out the physical demands of the role, which include cleaning, using moving machinery and manual handling of bulky items.You will need to have the ability to work under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines, maintain accurate records and operate within policy and procedures with good administration skills.You will work as part of a Neighbourhood housing team working closely with Neighbourhood officers to share intelligence on neighbourhood issues and to liaise with tenants in a courteous and friendly manner.We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
