**Electronics Digital Design Engineer | Defence and Secure National Security**Southampton basedHybrid 2 days a week on site£65,000 – £80,000 + benefits DOEJoin a leading technical and engineering firm in the UK defence and national security space as an Electronics Digital Design Engineer. We’re seeking a motivated and experienced professional to design and develop cutting-edge digital electronics for defence and electromagnetic warfare applications.**Job Highlights:**

  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits and systems for defence-related projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications
  • Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of designs
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to enhance project outcomes
  • Document design specifications, test plans, and results for compliance evidence
  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems for defence and electromagnetic warfare applications

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in digital electronic design
  • Knowledge of analogue circuit design desirable
  • Knowledge of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD, Spice simulation, Altium)
  • Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques
  • Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electromagnetic warfare principles a plus
  • Experience with FPGA design and development using languages such as VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus
  • Experience with high-level synthesis and C-based design flows
