Job description
This role is for an ambitious Manager to join a growing Financial Services Due Diligence team within the Consulting division, focusing on buy-side and sell-side transaction support for deals ranging from £20m to £500m. The position involves leading financial due diligence projects, engaging with clients and advisors, and contributing to business development, with opportunities for career growth, hybrid working, and professional development support.
- Lead and manage financial due diligence assignments for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Perform and review detailed financial analysis to assess business performance and risks.
- Identify key deal issues and provide clear, commercial insights to clients.
- Draft and review high-quality due diligence reports for client delivery.
- Liaise with clients, target businesses, and other professional advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Support new business generation and contribute to the growth of the Transaction Services team.
- Ensure client acceptance and engagement processes are properly completed.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
- Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS) and apply technical knowledge effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the consulting teams to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.

- Previous experience in Transaction Services or financial due diligence, ideally within a professional services firm.
- Exposure to Financial Services or TMT sector deals, with a strong interest in focusing on this area.
- Experience across a variety of transaction types and deal sizes.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to identify commercial insights and key deal issues.
- Client-facing experience, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ideally holds a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
