Your ResponsibilitiesConduct quantitative research in labor economics and analyze large-scale survey, administrative, and unstructured data sources (e.g., job postings)
Apply econometric and data science methods (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing) to study the implications of structural change on wages, employment, and skill demand
Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific conferences to engage with the broader academic and policy communityAbout youYou have completed a master’s degree in economics or related STEM discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Quantitative Social Sciences)
You have strong empirical research skills and experience in econometrics or data science methods
You are proficient in statistical programming languages such as Stata, R, or Python

The monthly salary for the advertised position is based on the FWF scheme for doctoral candidates and amounts to € 2,684.10 gross for a 30-hour week, paid 14 times per year.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The initial contract period is 3 years, with the possibility of an extension upon successful internal evaluation.
